Honey, we broke up on Thursday. Have you not been listening?
I’m still sort of touchy on the subject, so I forgive you.
-Alaksa

You broke up with Jake?

Has no one been listening?!
No, it’s okay. Remember that… fight… at Jake’s house? Well, we kind of continued it over the phone. It was annoying. Long story short, I broke up with him and make out with Hank later that night.
Regrets? A few. But not enough to keep me down.
-Alaska

I am sorry to hear that. I have been kind of busy. If you need me for anything, you know where I live.

I answered that here.

I’m so confused, who is ‘grasshopper’ and what does bubble gum have to do with him/her?

Grasshopper is an expression. Chewing gum was an analogy.

Thoughts: May 23rd, 2012

I am finally done with my exams. It feels oddly liberating. Summer may be humid and stingy but at least it comes with a three month invincibility. Too much to do and just enough time. But then I wonder if life ever gives you enough time. Would it be better to live a short life that is filled with sleepless nights and days with too much to do or lying in some excessively clean hospital until your body betrays you?

This makes me think, what do we owe-if anything-to the dead? Or unborn? Do we have a moral obligation to carry forward the work of our ancestors? Do we have the burden to progress for the unborn, enough that they can maybe hope to find answers one day?

But does this incessant owing hinder the free spirit of man?

Anonymous asked: You love Lara?

Woah, easy there grasshopper.

Love is like a chewing gum. You just can’t unchew it. And the flavor might just last for a while.

Anonymous asked: What's so special about Alaska?

Well, Alaska picked her own name on her seventh birthday. And she could have picked any name, Cinderella or Barbie or I don’t know Marshmallow, but she picked Alaska.

She is intelligent and funny and profound. But she is also a child at heart. It’s like you think you know the Alaska who plays pranks and smokes cigarettes and is incredibly hot, but then there is the Alaska who reads The General In His Labyrinth and contemplates her way out of the labyrinth.

So I guess it’s because she is Alaska.
